God is sovereign in our troubles!

As I study through Genesis, I am always overwhelmed by the story of Joseph.
As I read through it, I came upon this verse and couldn't help but praise God.

Genesis 39: 20 "Joseph's master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king's prisoners were confined."

Now, when we look at a verse about someone who was set up and wrongfully put in prison for something he didn't do, for actually doing the right thing, that doesn't seem to at first glance warrant a thankful heart to God.  But, God is sovereign even in our pains and troubles.  There is one significant factor about this prison.
The question is,  Whose prisoners went here?  "The Kings!!".

This was God's way of getting Joseph into a place where he would eventually be in position to be before the Pharoah, then in that one instance, Joseph would be put in charge over all of Egypt, and this would lead to the salvation of the People of Israel God's chosen people, whom He said He would bless!!!  IN THE END GOD'S WILL BE DONE, GOD IS SOVEREIGN IN OUR TROUBLES!

Even later in chapter 50 when Josephs brothers who were scared because they sold him into slavery, and their father had passed, they were worried because of the evil they did against Joseph, and Joseph is like, "Yo, I aint having none of that talk, Am I God? No, Joseph gives all credit to God, that what was meant for evil, God used for Goood, like Romans 8:28 "God works all things for good, to those that love Him and are called according to His purpose."

also, is this, whenever Joseph was put in a rough situation, he rose to the top, as a slave he became the head servant in charge, as a prisoner wrongly accused, he rose to the top and was put in charge of the prisoners.   Let's look at every hard set back as an opportunity to shine!!

Remember ur troubles are from God to bless you and refine you!  Praise God for what great things He will bring from it!!
So when we read a verse about going to prison, we just praise God that He is good!

Lesson from an elderly lady

I met an elderly woman when doing ministry once, She was  blind, and hard of hearing, due to age, but feeling my presence, she spoke out,"I can't read or listen to scripture, but I have it in my heart and mind, and can still speak it and live it." and since then, i forever see the need to memorize scripture.
This elderly woman, who devoted so much time to reading and memorizing scripture, even though she could
not read it now, had it in her with a depth I pray I some day receive.  I need the Lord's word in my mind and heart.
Psalm 119, all of it.

Hope in Jesus Christ!

Well,
Savoonga was an awesome missions trip, pretty much everyone didn't want to leave.
We ran a VBS (vacation Bible School) for over 80 kids for 5 days.
In the evenings we did a worship service and in the mornings we did some construction around the church.

It's the sweetest thing to just be free and let God use you for His glory.

One of the greatest things we can give is Hope!

So, I went to give hope that goes beyond the Island, a hope in Jesus Christ!
There is no greater purpose,  what else gives hope beyond life situations?

I pray that all could have Christ, and a hope for eternity with God.

Being in Christ, brings in a new life characterized by love,
the greatest give away for a Christian should be in how they love.

We ran VBS for 5 days and I was the speaker, we had over 80 kids a day.  I also got to speak at a revival meeting in the evenings at 7 for three days,

it's been awesome, but time is limited and i'll write more later,

God bless

WORK! God answers in a Big way.

So, I have been praying for years for God to help me get out of debt.

Well just recently I got hired full time at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Then right after I found out I got that job, the Elder at FKP Church came and asked me to
preach for them.  I was and am deeply honored and it goes along with my prayer to God.
I said, I will not seek to put myself in a position to preach,  God, if you want me to preach, please,
you present the opportunity, so that I know it's you God and not myself, not my will but your will O' God!

This week and half of next week though will be hard,
I'll be working still part time at the clinic  In the morning from 8:15 AM -Noon, then Providence from 2pm -Midnight 30.
Monday - Thursday.

Just have to make it through the next week and 1/2.  Please I just ask for prayers, I am so unworthy.  Always reliant upon the Lord.
God is so good and He answers prayers in His timing not ours,  WAIT UPON THE LORD!

random verse Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
